Students have options on a yearly basis as to what activates they would like to participate in. In past years students have organized Class Trips, Ring Ceremonies, Prom, School Plays, School Parties, Lock-Ins, Festivals, etc. Every year we celebrate Spirit Week and also host our annual school picnic at City Park.
LCCA is part of a small Christian athletic league. We play other schools throughout the city of New Orleans. Home games are played at NORD Hardin Park located 2 blocks from our school and also at the NORD St. Bernard Recreational Center.
Flag Football, Basketball and Volleyball
High School students at LCCA have the privilege to leave off campus for lunch time with certain rules and restrictions. We have been located in the neighborhood since 1999 and have been allowing our students off campus in the community for over 10 years.
We have a variety of uniform options to accommodate parents with a reasonable budget.
We participate in the Federal free and reduced breakfast/lunch program offering students well-balanced nutritious meal.
Our students are encouraged to volunteer and to get involved in community and civic minded activities. Students have volunteered annually at the Gentilly Festival, cooked for Ronald McDonald House, sung Christmas carols to the residents at Ferncrest Manor, rebuild NORDC playgrounds, etc. We have also donated food and funds to organizations like Second Harvest Food Bank, Pennies for Leukemia & the National Association for the prevention of Starvation (NAPS).
